Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records for a variety of clients. Your responsibilities will include analyzing balance sheets, reconciling month-end financials, supervising other bookkeepers, and ensuring the accuracy of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts for all clients
- Produce and reconcile month-end financial statements for all clients
- Supervise and mentor other bookkeepers to ensure high-quality work
- Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll for clients
- File sales taxes and special taxes for clients
- Assist with special projects as needed to support team goals and client needs

What We're Looking for in Our Ideal Candidate:

- A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong expertise in QuickBooks Online, with 3-5 years of hands-on experience
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, with a strong ability to create and manage spreadsheets
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Word
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines effectively
- In-depth knowledge of how to audit and reconcile third-party payroll reports to the general ledger
- Professionalism and discretion in managing confidential information
- A positive, service-oriented attitude with a passion for new challenges
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
- Strong leadership qualities and a proactive approach to team collaboration
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A team player with a positive "can-do" attitude

Additional Considerations:

- Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus, but not required
- This is a full-time position with typical hours Monday through Friday at the office. Remote work may be available in the future.
